• Thrive was named as Knox News Top Workplace 2022 at a recent event at The Foundry on Worlds’s Fair Site. Additionally, Thrive was presented the award for “Meaningfulness” for its work investing spiritually, emotionally, academically and physically in students who attend Thriveprogramming.
This year’s survey consisted of 89 companies surveyed, and more than 12,000 employees completed the survey. From this, Thrive was given the Gold Star of Recognition “for the culture, work-life balance and overall feeling of meaningful work” within the organization.
• Megan Hutson, Samuel Yalley, Carrie Yalley, Nicholas Humensky and Sandra Allen have joined EXIT Realty Pros’ growing team of dedicated real estate sales professionals.
• A group of 25 law enforcement officers, first responders and medical staff recently graduated from Crisis Intervention Team training. The class included staff from the University of Tennessee Police Department, Knoxville Police Department, Knox County Sheriff’s Office, University of Tennessee Medical Center, Knoxville Fire Department, Lenoir City Police Department, Morristown Police Department and American Medical Response.
CIT-trained officers underwent 40 hours of intensive training, which helps them identify mental health resources to assist people in crisis and connects officers with mental health professionals and other community agencies.
• Shultz Pediatrics, which is part of Summit Medical Group at 9142 S. Northshore Drive, has partnered with Mothers’ Milk Bank of Tennessee to become the nonprofit’s 13th Milk Drop Depot in Tennessee. The pediatric office will provide a convenient place for pre-screened and approved donors of frozen milk.
• Brooke Sinclair of Knoxville Utilities Board recently was re-appointed to American Public Gas Association Board of Directors, where she began another three-year term. APGA is a national, not-for-profit association representing more than 700 publicly-owned natural gas distribution systems in 38 states. It is the only trade association solely representing the interests of public natural gas systems at the federal, legislative and regulatory level.
