• On March 25 at around 6:09 p.m., Knox County Sheriff’s Office detectives responded to the Best Buy located at 11491 Parkside Drive for the report of a theft. Store loss prevention stated the suspects were driving a white Lincoln Town Car. Upon detectives arrival, they observed arrestees, a 39-year-old white male and a 39-year-old white female, leaving Best Buy and heading towards the Marshalls department store in a white Lincoln Town Car. The security at Best Buy identified them as theft suspects. Upon observing the vehicle arrive at Marshalls, arrestees, a 31-year-old white male and a 37-year-old white female, were observed getting into the back seat of the vehicle. Upon traffic stop, all arrestees were asked to step out of the vehicle for officer safety due to multiple weapons (knives) lying out in the open. Upon investigation, the driver, the 39-year-old male, showed to have warrants for his arrest out of Union County as well as a suspended drivers license and was placed into custody. Passengers, the 31-year-old male and the 39-year-old female, were found to have needles and spoons in their possession. Arrestee, 31-year-old male, stated that some of the needles were his as well. Both were placed into custody. The 39-year-old female is on probation as a drug offender. Arrestee, the 37-year-old female, who was observed leaving Marshalls was in possession of a Michael Kors hand bag with the price tag still on it and the packaging inside. When questioned as to the location of the receipt, she could not produce one, as well as did not know the price of the handbag or how much she paid for it. The 39-year-old female arrestee stated that the 37-year-old female arrestee had stolen the handbag from Marshalls prior to contact with officers. Officers made contact with Turkey Creek security to contact Marshalls and make them aware of the theft. The 31-year-old female arrestee was placed into custody. Upon search of the 31-year-old male arrestee, he was found to be wearing a pair of brand new Sketcher with the tags still on them. These were taken into evidence pending an investigation. Numerous other items still brand new in boxes from numerous stores were located in the vehicle with no receipts and were taken into evidence pending further investigation. All arrestees were taken to the Knox County Detention Facility and the vehicle was towed to Cedar Bluff tow yard. Knox County Forensics responded to photograph the scene and take custody of the evidence. This did occur in Farragut.
• On Wednesday, March 23, at around 11:57 a.m., KCSO responded to a Bellfield Road address for a burglary of a vehicle. Upon arrival, the victim stated that his 1997 black Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck was unlocked, and an unknown person got into it and went through his glove box. He was unaware if anything valuable had been removed at this time. He was given a report number and advised how to add items to the report. This occurred in Farragut.
• On March 23 at round 1:23 p.m., KCSO officers responded to the area of Village Green subdivision on reports of a suspicious male attempting to make entry into vehicles. Witnesses described the suspect as having a white colored backpack with him when they last saw him in the area. Officers located the arrestee/suspect, a 20-year-old of unknown race, behind a residence off Dominion Circle. At the time suspect was detained by officers, he did not have a backpack with him. The suspect later told detectives where the backpack was hidden. Detectives located the backpack behind a residence off Dominion Circle near the patio area. Items in the backpack were determined to be stolen from the victim’s vehicle, a 2014 Subaru Forrester, off Russfield Drive. The approximate value of property is $401. This occurred in Farragut.
• On March 28 at around 5:01 p.m., KCSO responded to Belk Men’s Store, 11417 Parkside Drive, in regards to a theft. Witness/LP Officer advised that an employee, a 20-year-old white male, admitted and wrote a statement stating he took boxers and socks from the store while he was working there. The boxers and socks totaled $99. Suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Detention Facility. This occurred in Farragut.
• On March 23 at 5:55 a.m., KCSO officers responded to a possible attempted theft of a vehicle at a Bellfield Road address in Farragut. When officers arrived the victim’s vehicle, a 2010 GMC Acadia, was sitting in the middle of Bellfield Road. The victim stated that someone got into the vehicle and put it in reverse to roll it backwards out of the driveway. The vehicle then was unable to be move any further so the suspect left it in the middle of the road. X-ray 4 responded to process the crime scene.
• On March 23 at 1:48 p.m., KCSO officers responded to a report of a possible burglary to a vehicle at a Beacontree Lane address. The victim stated that sometime during the night or early morning someone had entered both vehicles that were parked in her driveway. She stated that in the Subaru Outback all the papers from the glove compartment were taken out and lying on the seat, the items in the center console had been disturbed, and the items in the pocket on the back of the passenger side seat were taken out.
