Cusp of expansion

New Concord development welcomes bluedress

A woman-owned business was the first tenant in a new office development along Loop Road.

Bluedress INTERNET MARKETING Inc., owned by Farragut resident Ingrid Yvette Maddox, opened at 827 Loop Road in May.

“We were able to design the layout,” Maddox said just prior to hosting Admiral’s Chapter BNI’s weekly networking meeting Wednesday, Aug. 16.

“This is a great location and I’m very excited about how the expansion of Concord Road is bringing so much more visibility to the company,” she added.

Maddox’s husband, Bill Maddox, also helps with bluedress, which Ingrid founded.

“I have been in the industry for over 15 years, and we focus on two things: offering the best built custom websites and providing our clients with Google rank, making sure they are on the first page of Google search,” Ingrid said.

She thanks her husband for encouraging her with the software program, which enables this Google 1st Page Rank “without buying ads.”

During the Aug. 16 event, Ingrid discussed the topic “‘Human-centered communication in a digital world.’

“ A lot of times, people see technology as a way to connect and keep us connected, but the same things that connect us, really disconnect us at the same time,” she said.

“We might send a text,

instead of calling, but we really need to be cognizant of that and make sure it is a

human-centered approach,” she added.

“There is a better way.”

Ingrid explained her psychology degree from the University of Tennessee helps her assist her clients as they navigate an overwhelmingly digital world.

“I like to share how you can utilize certain types of media by using the art of psychology in the online world,” she said.

Ingrid said she was “excited” to host the Aug. 16 event.

“We are a close-knit community, but we also extended the invitation to others outside our group,” she added.

Goodness to Go catered the event.

Tom Davis, president of Admiral’s Chapter BNI, praised bluedress, and Ingrid specifically, “for how you have improved our group’s Facebook page.

“If you haven’t seen it already, please check it out,” he added. “She has done an amazing job.”

Group member Mike Newman, www.northshorenurserytn.com, owner of Northshore Nursery, also was complimentary of the company.

“This service to my company has ben incredible, and the amount of people who have come to my new site has really been amazing,” Newman said.

Julie Haynes of Otis Pest Control www.otispestcontrol.net also is a bluedress client.

“She mentioned she loves the website we built for her, too,” Ingrid said.
