• I’m calling in regard to the northside alderman race. I believe that a conflict of interest exists in the candidate, Louise Povlin, who is also a member of the board of the Farragut Business Alliance. I believe that because the Board of Mayor and Aldermen have to vote for funding of the FBA, which is a private non-profit organization, that the two boards — the Board of Mayor and Aldermen and the Board of FBA — need to be separated or there will be a conflict of interest for a candidate to be on both boards.
