• On June 30 at around 10:57 a.m., a Brixworth Boulevard victim stated to Knox County Sheriff’s Office that between midnight and 6:30 a.m. this morning person(s) unknown stole the backflow preventer off their sprinkler system. She said there have been several stolen in their subdivision. Estimated loss is $600.
• On June 30 at around 11:44 a.m., a Woodcliff Drive victim stated to KCSO that at around 11 p.m. last night person(s) unknown stole the backflow preventer off his sprinkler system. This residence is located in Inverness subdivision. Estimated loss is $500.
• On June 30 at around 12:02 p.m., a Raeburn Lane complainant stated to KCSO that between 11 p.m., June 29, and 1 a.m., June 30, an unknown suspect took her back flow cut off valve. She advised the same thing happened to her neighbor and her neighbor did make a report of the incident. Estimated loss is $400.
• On June 30 at around 3:24 p.m., KCSO responded to Costco, 10745 Kingston Pike, Farragut, for a shoplifting call. KCSO came into contact with the manager of the store who stated he witnessed suspect-arrestee place two doorbell camera items in his pants. Complainant also stated he believed that the suspect also stole the same items from their store the day prior. KCSO came into contact with the suspect who appeared to be intoxicated. The suspect stated he had done drugs earlier that day. Suspect was taken into custody. After record check with Knox County LEIDS, it was found the suspect had a outstanding warrant for theft. After the suspect was Mirandized, the suspect stated he did steal two doorbell cameras the day prior and traded them for drugs. The manager priced all four doorbell cameras at $800. This occurred in Farragut.
• On June 30 at 3:54 p.m., KCSO responded to possible shoplifters at Kohl’s department store, 11530 Kingston Pike, Farragut. The complainant stated that the suspect had put on a pair of Kohl’s Van shoes and placed his shoes into the empty box and placed the shoe box back onto the shelve. When officers arrived the suspect/arrestee was at a cash register trying to purchase a pair of shoes, jewelry and a jacket totaling $104.85. The transaction was denied because the card that the suspect was using was reported stolen on June 22 to Knoxville Police Department. The suspect was advised that officers were in the store and he then tried to leave. When officers approached the suspect he stated that he did switch the shoes and was going to leave the store without paying. The suspect also had three pairs of Jockey underwear concealed in his jeans. The suspect stated that he knew the card wasn’t his and stated that it was a friend’s grandparent’s card. A records check revealed that the arrestee had a Failure to Appear for driving on suspended license warrant.
• On July 1 at around 3:14 p.m., a Midhurst Drive complainant stated to KCSO that between June 26 and July 1 an unknown suspect took gold coins from his home. The complainant advised he believes the suspect was one of his caretakers who were allowed into the home. The complainant advised the coins were in a locked safety box in a dresser in one of his bedrooms. The complainant was advised to contact Teleserve if more information arises. Estimated loss is $17, 550.
• On July 10 at around 2:59 p.m., a Best Buy, 11491 Parkside Drive, Farragut complainant stated to KCSO that between 2:50 and 2:59 p.m., July 10, an unknown male suspect came into the Best Buy store and took multiple DVDs, CDs and video games. The complainant stated he attempted to stop the suspect, a 6-foot tall, 230-pound white male, but was unable to. The complainant was able to get a vehicle description — gray GMC 1500 pickup truck — and license plate. The complainant was advised to contact Teleserve if more information arises. Estimated loss is $300.
