• On Oct. 4 at around 3:35 p.m., a representative of U-Haul of Farragut, 10833 Kingston Pike, Farragut, advised Knox County Sheriff’s Office that between Aug. 31 and Oct. 4 an unknown suspect stole an orange 1984 cycle trailer from the business parking lot. The complainant advised he discovered the item gone during the process of company inventory. The complainant also advised he has video surveillance footage of the theft. Copy given to Leids for NCIC entry. Estimated loss is $6,000.

• On Oct. 5 at around 5:09 p.m., a Augustan Lane complainant advised KCSO that between midnight and 4 p.m. an unknown suspect stole the listed firearm, and FN Model 57 semi-automatic handgun. The complainant advises he is taking care of his parents’ house while they are out of country, and the handgun is kept at the residence. The complainant advised the home was not broken into, and believes his brother in-law is a potential suspect. The complainant also advises the handgun was replaced with a replica Airsoft pistol of the same model. Copy of report given to LEIDS for NCIC entry.

• On Oct. 6 at around 3:18 p.m., a South Fox Den Drive complainant advised KCSO that on Sept. 22 an unknown suspect took her mail out of her mailbox. She advised she placed her mail in the mailbox late in the day and when she checked her mail the next morning it was gone. She thought that her mail man ran late that evening and already picked up her mail. When no one received the birthday card or the check she knew it was stolen. She advised she contacted her bank and cancelled the check. Estimated loss is $44.39.

• On Oct. 7 at around 12:07 p.m., a Midhurst Drive complainant advised KCSO that between 5:15 p.m., Oct. 6, and 12:23 a.m., Oct. 7, an unknown suspect stole a Donald Trump campaign sign from her front yard. Estimated loss $16.

• On Oct. 7 at around 12:22 p.m., a Midhurst Drive complainant advised KCSO that between 3 p.m., Oct. 5, and 1 a.m., Oct 7, an unknown suspect stole a Donald Trump campaign sign from his front yard. Estimated loss is $20.

• On Oct. 8 at around 10:56 a.m., a Giverny Circle complainant advised KCSO that on Oct. 7 an unknown suspect entered into her vehicle and stole her wallet and its contents including $130 in cash. Complainant stated the windows to the vehicle were rolled down during the time of the incident. Estimated loss is $217.

• On Oct. 8 at around 2:07 p.m., a Doral Point complainant advised KCSO that on Oct. 6 he received a phone call from an unknown suspect who posed as one of the complainant’s grandchildren. Com-plainant stated the suspect said he was in need of money in order to bail out of jail. The complainant said he was advised by the suspect to purchase an iTunes gift card from Toys “R” Us, 8009 Kingston Pike, and place $2,880 on it for bail. Complainant stated he did so and read off the code on the back of the gift card to the suspect over the phone. The complainant advised the suspect then said he needed an additional $3,360 for a court fine. So, the complainant went to Babies “R” Us, 9626 Kingston Pike, and placed the requested amount of money on another iTunes gift card. He again read the code off to the suspect. On Oct. 7 the complainant said he received another call from the suspect who requested the complainant to place $2,400 on another iTunes gift card. The complainant went to Toys “R” Us again and went through the same steps as before. Complainant said he called The Apple Store concerning the gift cards and they had advised him to make this report. Estimated loss is $8,640.

• On Oct. 10 at around 2:21 p.m., a Galloping Lane complainant advised KCSO that between 12:30 and 1 p.m. an unknown suspect took her iPhone while she was shopping off Parkside Drive. The complainant stated she remembers having it on her person and does not remember putting it down anywhere. The complainant stated she does have the “Find My iPhone” app and has been tracking the phone. The complainant was advised to call back with the serial number for the phone. Estimated loss is $699.
