• Leslie England, a 15-year banking industry veteran and vice president of retail banking for TNBANK, has ben promoted to senior vice president of retail banking at TNBANK.
• Tim Harmon, who has 15 years in IT banking, was promoted from assistant vice president, IT manager, and security officer to vice president, IT manager, and security officer at TNBANK.
• Heather Emert, assistant vice president and head of mortgage who has 20 years in banking, has been promoted to vice president.
• Julie Simpson has been named vice president of human resources at The University of Tennessee Medical Center. She is responsible for performance management, compensation, employee relations, recruiting and employment, benefits and payroll.
• David Haynes has been named Knoxville president of Bank of Tennessee. It is a community bank headquartered in East Tennessee. The $1 billion bank has been looking for a person to open up the Knoxville market to expand across Tennessee. Haynes, a career banker, already has acquired a permanent site and hired five additional teammates.
• “Forbes 2017 Best Banks in America” article has ranked 100 of the largest publicly traded banks and thrifts nationwide, and United Community Bank again has been included in the list. The recognition rewards United Community Bank for being financially stable and profitable.
• Daniel Gary has been promoted to account manage rat Swift Industrial Power. He will serve customers in Tennessee and Kentucky. Gary has been with the company for 15 years and previously served as project manager.
