Knox County Sheriff’s Office Units responded to 11341 Campbell Lakes Drive [Clarion Inn Room 225] for a disturbance. Upon arrival, an employee of Clarion Inn said there were people in Room 225 who were not supposed to be there — and the room is supposed to be vacant. An officer came into contact with a male and female arrestee in Room 225. Male arrestee said he gave a friend money for the room, but the business did not receive the money. A bag containing 4.08 grams of a white crystal-like substance, common with methamphetamine, and 2.73 grams of a green leafy substance, common with marijuana, were found in plain view on the dresser in the room. A Ruger .22 caliber handgun, which was loaded with six rounds, also was found in plain view on the dresser. Neither arrestee would admit to whom the drugs or firearm belonged. Male arrestee then said another female arrestee also had been in the room and was across the hall in a different room at the time. Officers then made contact with the female, who also denied the drugs or the firearm belonged to her, and also identified herself and said she was born in 1981. Upon investigation, it was discovered she was lying about her identity. A search incident connected with the arrest uncovered the arrestee had a needle in her left jacket pocket. She also had a box of needles in her bag, which was in the room, including one that was loaded with a brown liquid substance. A pill bottle was found in her bag containing 14 Naproxen, 500mg, and seven Ketorolac, 10mg, of which she could not provide a prescription. She then admitted the substance in the needle was

methamphetamine. A records check revealed arrestee had a VOP out of Loudon County, VOP out of Knox County for theft of merchandise [$2,800 cash], and a FTA for unlawful drug paraphernalia. Upon further investigation, it was discovered the male arrestee is a convicted felon out of North Carolina. He will be charged with Unlawful Carrying or Possession of a Weapon as being a felon. All three were charged with possession of the 4.08 grams of methamphetamine and 2.73 grams of marijuana found in plain view. One female suspect also was charged with Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia. The other female arrestee also was charged with Criminal Impersonation, Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia, Legend Drug Possession without a Prescription, and her outstanding warrants. All arrestees were transported to Roger D. Wilson Detention Facility.
