Sloan has 4-year state title sweep; Pietarila, BHS’s Grayson second
Kenya Sloan, Hardin Valley Academy female wrestling star in the 160-pound class, captured her fourth straight TSSAA state crown Saturday, Feb. 17, n Williamson County.
The senior (32-0) pinned Rossview freshman Brielle Bissonette at 1:19 of the first period in the 160 finals.
Chelsea Judy of Farragut (29-6)took fifth at 119. Hailey Stephenson of FHS was sixth at 125.
Meanwhile, HVA sophomore Josh Pietarila (29-3) finished second statewide in Class AAA boys at 152, while Bearden senior Max Grayson (43-3) earned second in the 170-class.
Pietarila (29-3) lost a tough 8-5 match to Cleveland junior Austin Sweeney in the finals.
