Hunting for Easter Eggs

The resurrection of Jesus is the reason for Easter celebrations — and while mindful of that, area churches and organizations also provided a bit of levity through Easter egg hunts and celebrations throughout Town. Concord United Methodist, Concord A.M.E. Zion, Farragut Christian Church, OneLife Church and St. John Neumann were among the many churches to offer egg hunts, candy, crafts — and a gentle reminder of “the reason for the season.”
Davis Family YMCA offered a different approach, with more than 100 children suiting up and “diving” for plastic Easter eggs dotting the indoor pool.
Fun and activities were rounded out at most locations with an appearance by the Easter Bunny himself. For more photos from these events, please see Westside Faces in this week's print edition of farragutpress.
