Webb pitcher Saliba signs with Tennessee Tech April 23
Senior Thomas Saliba, standout pitcher for Webb School of Knoxville baseball, signed with Tennessee Tech Monday, April 23, in Webb’s Lee Athletic Center.
Saliba has been a starting pitcher for the Spartans varsity team since his freshman year. He is a three-time All-District honoree and a two-time (2016, 2017) All-District Tournament team selection.
Saliba completed his junior season with a 2.21 earned run average that included a 4-3 record and 52 strikeouts in 53.2 innings pitched. He earned a spot on the Division II-A East/Middle All-Region tourney team.
As of mid-April, Saliba had compiled a 1.26 ERA in 33.1 innings pitched this season, posted a 5-1 record and 48 strikeouts. His career record as of mid-April was 16-7.
