Ex-Hawk Neely, ex-Ad Mascia keys for Vols
Will Neely, junior Tennessee Vols starting pitcher and a former Hardin Valley Academy star, has the UT pitching staff’s second-best record (4-1) while sporting a 3.56 earned run average (62 innings pitched, 45 strikeouts versus just 15 walks).
Junior Nico Mascia, former Farragut High School standout catcher, is hitting .277 while starting in 28 of the Vols’ 50 games (27-23 overall, 10-14 in SEC games). Mascia has four home runs, 12 runs batted in and 23 runs scored.
