• At 4:41 p.m., Wednesday, May 9, Knox County Sheriff Office units responded to Kroger Marketplace, 189 Brooklawn St., in response to a shoplifting incident. Upon arrival an officer spoke to complainant/witness, who said he saw two suspects/arrestees begin concealing merchandise in their bags and on their persons. Complainant said he approached the suspects at the door when one of them began to shove him.

Complainant said during the altercation, the door frame to the store was damaged. Estimated value of damage, according to complainant, was $120. Total amount stolen was $101.36. Both suspects were given a criminal trespass warning to never enter any Kroger property.

• At 10:54 p.m., May 9, a Reagan Avenue complainant called KCSO Teleserve Unit to report an incident at 189 Kroger Marketplace, 189 Brooklawn St. Complainant advised between 10:40 and 10:54 p.m., unknown suspects came into the store and took an estimated $100 worth of Gain laundry detergent without paying for it, with a total value of items stolen listed at $150. Complainant advised he followed them out to the parking lot and tried to stop them but they put the items in their car and left. He advised he didn’t get a good look at the vehicle because it was parked where there was not much light.
