Aventine Northshore apartments cuts ribbon

Aventine Northshore, a luxury apartment development next to Northshore Town Center, held a ribbon cutting at its location, 1971 Willow Loop Way, hosted by Farragut West Knox Chamber of Commerce Wednesday, May 9. With Julie Masters, Aventine community manager, cutting the ribbon, also on hand, starting third from left in front, were residents Sean Hensley, Kaylor Martin, Miller Taylor and Dana Webb-Sims; Raquel Lietart, assistant property manager; Peggy Benson, Aventine leasing consultant; and a host of FWKCC members and other Aventine staff.
As Aventine Northshore luxury apartments held its ribbon cutting at its newest location, 1971 Will Loop Way next to Northshore Town Center, Wednesday, May 9, it already had a waiting list.

Developed by Flournoy Properties in Columbus, Georgia, “We started construction in 2016 and started pre-leasing apartments in March 2017,” said Julie Masters, Aventine community manager.

“We completed construction in March 2018,” she added. “As of April 2018, we are 100 percent full, and we have a waiting list.”

“We are here to officially open the clubhouse portion of Aventine,” said Julie Blaylock, president/CEO of Farragut West Knox Chamber of Commerce, event host, during the ribbon cutting. “We’ve been watching them build for a little while … so we’re really excited to be here.

“We’re excited (Aventine is) a member, and we are here to support you in anything that you need,” Blaylock added.

Masters said the developers chose the Northshore location because of the commercial development at Northshore Town Center (off Thunderhead Road).

“They wanted an urban, downtown community but in West Knoxville,” she said. “So, you can walk to restaurants, grocery and other shops that are in close proximity.”

“You can rent apartments all over Knoxville, but we rent a lifestyle,” said Peggy Benson, Aventine leasing consultant.

“I love it,” resident Kaylor Martin said. “I never want to leave.”

“We’re definitely spoiled,” resident Sean Hensley said.

“You feel like you are in a downtown urban environment, but you’re just right here off Pellissippi,” Benson said. “So many people are attracted to that (lifestyle).”

Aventine also is close to Northshore Elementary School.

“We pull a vast demographic of residents,” Masters said. “So, we’ve got families; we’ve got workers who work in downtown Knoxville, Maryville and Oak Ridge; we’ve got singles; people in lifestyle changes, such as selling homes; we’ve got retirees.

“Flournoy manages apartment communities throughout the Southeast,” she said. “It has some 8,000 units in 28 properties” across the United States.

Aventine Northshore has 246 units comprised of one-, two- and three bedroom luxury apartment homes.

And residents are not limited to their apartment spaces, she added.

“All these (common) areas (in the development) people can reserve and have family functions. They can have birthday parties,” Benson said. “We have the pavilions residents can utilize.”

For instance, residents can reserve the upstairs clubhouse.

“We continuously are staying booked up because residents are embracing these (amenities) they can share with family and friends,” she said.

Other high-end services include a resort-style pool, covered cabanas, a pet-friendly environment featuring two dog parks and a dog spa, elevators in the buildings, fire pit, yoga and fitness center and an on-site management team, among others.
