Northshore Smiles Dentistry‘s CEREC® is game-changing technology
Northshore Smiles Dentistry, which opened May 15 at 2020 Town Center Blvd. off South Northshore Drive, has a CEREC® CAD/CAM machine that makes possible getting dental work, such as a crown, done in two hours.
“Northshore Smiles Dentistry is all about the latest technology available to give our patients the most efficient, effective dental care,” said Shannon Rosenberg, Northshore Smiles’ operations manager. “We have CEREC® CAD/CAM for same-day crowns, electronic dental records for enhanced chair-side case presentation, digital X-rays for advanced imaging and precise diagnoses, and intra-oral cameras, which allow patients to better understand their dental needs by seeing what the dentist sees and then having it explained.
“It is the epitome of modern dentistry,” she added. “It means that in just two hours you can have a crown. There are no temporaries and no need for a second visit.
“It’s a precise fit. (The machine) is less invasive and delivers durable, natural looking crowns in a snap.
“You can say goodbye to gooey impressions, touchy temporaries and ill-fitting permanent crowns because CEREC® CAD/CAM uses digital imaging, so you get a precise fit without all the mess,” she said.
Northshore Smiles Dentistry also has lasers for a non-surgical approach to arresting progression of periodontal disease.
“Along with our modern tools, we have a great team,” Rosenberg said. “My knowledgeable clinical team here at Northshore Smiles Dentistry can provide crowns, dental hygiene, fillings, teeth whitening, veneers, and emergency services, while working closely with our expert front office team to fit your dental needs into your budget whether you have insurance or not.
“Our knowledgeable benefit coordinators can help you maximize your dental benefits and minimize your out-of-pocket cost with many options for payment and financing solutions,” she added. “As we grow, we will also be integrating multiple specialties into our practice such as hygiene, oral surgery, periodontics and endodontics, so we can be a one-stop shop for all of our patients’ needs.”
Northshore Smiles Dentistry is new to the Knoxville area.
“It is the first practice in the Knoxville area, but we are looking to expand and have plans to open offices in Oak Ridge, Maryville and Farragut in the near future,” Rosenberg said.
