• At 6:43 p.m., Saturday, June 2, a Knox County Sheriff’s Office unit responded to Walgreens, 10701 Kingston Pike, on report of counterfeit money. Officer spoke to store manager/complainant who said while working her shift unknown suspects came into the store and gave the cashier two counterfeit $100 bills. The currency was taken as evidence and complaint was given a property receipt. Manager said she would have a DVD for detectives Monday, June 4, with suspects on the video.
• At 9:57 a.m., Friday, June 1, a victim from Campbell County called KCSO North Precinct to report an incident at Kroger, 189 Brooklawn St., Farragut. According to the victim, someone used a counterfeit card with her First Volunteer Bank Mastercard/debit card number to make a $1,900 purchase. Victim advised she has made an initial report with Campbell County Sheriff’s Office on the theft of her account number.
• At 2:44 p.m., Thursday, May 31, a West Kingsgate Road complainant called KCSO West Precinct to report an incident at Goodwill, 148 West End Ave., Farragut. Complainant advised she last saw her debit card at this location. Complainant said she was advised by her bank a charge was made to Amazon in the amount of $2,180.86 the day after it went missing. She was advised the suspect used her name and debit card.
