23rd Annual Oyster Fest

Hundreds of Farragut and Knox area residents gathered to enjoy oysters and shrimp during the 23rd Annual Oyster Fest, which benefits Childhelp’s Children’s Center of East Tennessee, at Concord Marina Saturday, June 9.

While some who attended lined up to check out the jambalaya, shrimp and oysters, others chose barbecued chicken, mussels and mac ’n cheese, as the Knoxville band, Chillbillies performed and other vendors provided beer, wine and other beverages. Proceeds supported Childhelp, which serves victims of child abuse and neglect through advocacy, treatment and investigation services.
