FHS ‘4’ cleared in death lawsuit
Though a wrongful death lawsuit filed against Knox County, Knox County Schools and Knox County Board of Education on behalf of the late Andrew Williams Bannister, a Farragut High School student, has been moved from state to federal court, “All individuals have been dropped from the suit.”
The quote, from KCS spokesperson Carly Harrington, was an attempt to “clarify this matter” that individual lawsuits against four FHS administrators and teachers — principal Ryan J. Siebe, assistant principals Kimberly H. Gray and Anthony B. Norris, and teacher Erin A. Ashe — along with KCS official Brian A. Hartsell recently were dismissed.
A Order of Voluntary Non-Suit of Individual Capacity Liability Claims against the five in Knox County Circuit Court read that “plaintiffs voluntarily dismiss, without prejudice, Plaintiffs’ individual capacity liability claims” against the five. “It is ordered that individual capacity liability claims … be dismissed without prejudice … .”
