A big Thank You to the farragutpress for providing platforms for the supporters of the two Farragut mayoral candidates.
When I was a young boy, my parents used to tell me, “Birds of a feather flock together.”
So, when I see those who are for fiscal restraint, high architectural and engineering standards, support for the businesses who support our Town, for economic development to fill the empty storefronts on Kingston Pike and adherence to the founding principles of our Town all squarely behind Bob Markli, it makes my choice for mayor easy.

Early Saturday morning on July 21, 2018, (it was discovered) thunderstorms of the preceding night downed a tree that completely blocked the sidewalk behind Smithfield subdivision and the northbound lane of Smith Road.
(Alderman) Bob (Markli) was out for his early morning 5k run when he came across the downed tree. Upon noting the tree in the road, he ran home, grabbed his truck and chainsaw and returned to totally cut up the tree and remove it from the street, directing traffic as he worked.
This kind of thoughtfulness is typical of Bob. I’ve known him for more than 10 years. Bob has the heart of a servant and he’s a master at solving problems using common sense and smart work.
This is the kind of guy that we need for mayor of Farragut.
