Kidd brings ‘hommati’ to Knox County
Kidd, owner/operator who previously lived in the Farragut area for 16 years, said hommati is a national franchise organization headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. While the business currently is based in his Hardin Valley home, Kidd plans to open a storefront site in the future and would be hiring employees in six months to a year.
“We’re the first of its kind,” he said. “It is truly a start up, a new name, a new concept.
“We are the first national company that focuses solely on realtors in helping support them in selling homes,” Kidd added. “I guess the best way to describe it is a concierge service to digitally market a home.
“Now, I will say all the services that we provide you can find at a myriad of different places … that is not new. What is new is it’s all packaged in a concierge service for the real estate agent on one spot.”
Kidd provides aerial photography and video; three-dimensional and two-dimensional tours; virtual reality tours and staging of homes; floor plans with measurements; placement/removal of signs and lockboxes; door hanger services; a hommati app; broadcast and podcast services for social media; free, automated brochure creation; and quick turnaround time.
“We feature (homes) with an online membership that allows for realtors to showcase their homes from a digital perspective,” he said. “So, it’s an all-encompassing program.”
Kidd explained the real estate agents or realtors could sign up for a membership and select the services they wish to use.
“Not every home requires a full-blown presentation,” he noted. “We just offer the services for them to do a complete canvassing of the home.
“We have a server-based network that hosts all of our information,” Kidd said.
He links his network to Listhub and Multiple Listing Service.
With the virtual and three-dimensional tours, Kidd said, “I like to call it a 24/7 open house. “Buyers can click on (the tour) and they can literally see every aspect of the home at any time, day or night,” he said.
Kidd purchased the franchise in late May. He kick-started it at a Farragut West Knox Chamber of Commerce networking Thursday, Aug. 2.
While his hobby has been photography for years, his profession for 28 years was in sales, but the job required him to consistently travel.
“I just got tired of traveling,” Kidd said, so he looked for a career that would encompass sales and training skills and photography interests and put them out into the community.
“Over the years, I have developed a network of pretty good friends in the real estate market, and I thought (serving real estate professionals) might be a really good fit for me,” he said.
While the online service is available 24 hours, seven days a week, he works 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, but will work after hours as needed.
