• At 11:30 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 21, a Broken Saddle Road complainant called Knox County Sheriff’s Office Teleserve Unit to report an incident at Concord Christian School. Complainant advised that around 4 p.m., Monday, Aug. 20, two unknown suspects stole his son’s cell phone from a locker room. He advised his son was returning to the locker room after his workouts. He advised his son then went to the school resource officer, and they looked at security footage and saw two unknown white males leaving the locker room. He said that was the only description he had of the suspects. He also said he has used the GPS location on the phone to try and track suspects, which showed a location in Lenoir City. Complainant was advised to call back if he could locate a serial number for the phone.
• At 3:06 p.m., Monday, Aug. 20, a KCSO unit was notified of a shoplifting in progress at Kohl’s, 11530 Kingston Pike. Officer arrived on scene and made contact with loss prevention employee. Complainant said a white male with khaki pants and red facial hair, later identified as a witness, and a white male with jean shorts and a plaid shirt, entered the store together. Witness further said the white male, with the plaid shirt, concealed a white Adidas hat in his shorts and exited the store with the other male. When employees attempted to confront the men, the male wearing the plaid shirt fled north and the male with red facial hair fled south. Officer located and detained “red facial hair” suspect behind the business. Investigation revealed he had not attempted to steal from the business and was released. Officer stated he was unable to locate the white male suspect wearing the plaid shirt.
