• At 2:46 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 9, a complainant called Knox County Sheriff’s Office West Precinct to report an incident at Best Buy, 11491 Parkside Drive. He advised at 8:43 p.m., Friday, Oct. 5, the suspects came inside the store about a minute apart, selected merchandise and then exited the store passing all points of sale, depriving the business of an estimated $1,300. Stolen items included a $1,000 security camera. Complainant advised it was too dark to see the vehicle in which the suspects fled. He advised he has video surveillance of the incident.

• At 7:12 p.m., Monday, Oct. 8, a KCSO unit responded to a Dominion Circle residence in reference to a residential burglary. Victim said when he and his family returned to their residence Oct. 8, they noticed an unknown suspect gained entry into their residence through a backdoor in the basement. Victim said the unknown suspect had stolen a bracelet (listed value of $300) and a Glock 19 handgun (listed value of $500) and French doors (listed value of $1,000) from his bedroom. Victim also said they have been remodeling their residence and have had a lot of workers in and out of their residence recently. Forensics was called to process the scene.

• At 4:45 p.m., Oct. 8, a Castle Downs Lane complainant called KCSO Teleserve Unit to report an incident at her residence. Complainant advised an unknown suspect opened the door on her unlocked vehicle to gain access to the inside of her 2011 Toyota Sienna, where an estimated $1,485 worth of items were located. She stated she had last seen the items, which included prescription eyeglasses (estimated value of $600) and prescription sunglasses (estimated value of $600) in her vehicle around 8 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 7. Complainant also said no damage was made to the vehicle.

• At 3:49 p.m., Oct. 8, a Cruze Road complainant called KCSO West Precinct to report an incident at Costco, 10745 Kingston Pike. She advised at 4:45 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 6, the suspect took her license, which was needed for her store membership information. She advised she was getting her Costco membership card and the suspect did not return her license. Complainant said she asked the suspect about the license, and stated his quote, “I gave you your license back.” She advised suspect did not give her driver’s license back and wanted to speak with the manager. She has since spoken to the manager and the security manager. Both advised different statements about the security video. She is concerned since the suspect now has her driver’s license and all of her personal information that goes along with the Costco membership card.

• At 8:35 p.m., Oct. 8, a Woodland Trace Drive complainant called KCSO West Precinct to report an incident at her residence. She advised an unknown suspect damaged her mailbox and knocked over her trashcan, with all the trash coming out. Estimated value of damage was listed at $50.

• At 7:50 a.m., Oct. 8, a Vucrest Avenue complainant called KCSO Teleserve Unit to report an incident at a South Campbell Station construction site. Complainant advised the company generator was stolen from the construction site, with a value listed at $3,500. The building under construction had no front doors and the generator was sitting on the inside. There were no known suspects at the time of this report.



• Around 6:45 p.m., Oct. 5, Sheriff’s officers responded to Kohl’s, 11530 Kingston Pike, following a shoplifting incident. Complainant/witness told officers the arrestee had passed the point of sale with $218 worth of merchandise. Arrestee had taken several items of clothing and pieces of jewelry. None of the items were purchased. All stolen items were recovered and the arrestee was told to never enter Kohl’s property. Officers misdemeanor cited the arrestee and she was given a booking date. Arrestee was picked up by a friend.

• At 4:30 p.m., Oct. 5, a KCSO unit responded to Dickey’s BBQ, 11483 Parkside Drive, in reference to an attempted burglary to an enclosed trailer. Upon arrival an officer met with the complainant who advised the following: between 2 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 4, and 3 p.m., Oct. 5, an unknown suspect attempted to force entry into a large enclosed Free Brand trailer, which had been parked, locked and secured in the rear parking lot. Trailer contains multiple items used for restaurant catering. Suspect attempted to pry open the lock on the rear door/ramp, causing dents and gouges to the door. Estimted value of damage was listed at $250. Suspect also attempted to pry open the rear door/ramp with a pair of blue and black channel lock pliers, which the suspect left stuck in the door frame. It does not appear the suspect was able to gain entry and no items are missing from the trailer.

• At 1:29 p.m., Oct. 5, a Weathervane Drive complainant called KCSO Teleserve Unit to report an auto burglary at his residence. Complainant advised he last saw his unlocked vehicle, a 2015 Lexus LS 350, in his driveway around 1 a.m., Oct. 5. Complainant advised he noticed his vehicle had been burglarized when he arrived at work around 8 a.m., Oct. 5, and noticed his SIG handgun (with an estimated valued listed at $500) was missing from the driver’s side interior door. No damage was done to the vehicle, complainant advised. He does not know who burglarized his vehicle or stole his gun.

• At 12:49 p.m., Oct. 5, a Lawnville Road complainant called KCSO West Precinct to report an incident at a Pleasant Forest Drive address. She advised she was selling a Neil Lane white gold wedding set, with a estimated value listed at $4,000 on “Let It Go” and the suspect responded to the ad. She advised the transactions were done through Paypal and all the e-mails were sent through Paypal. She advised she sent the ring overnight and the suspect signed for the ring. She thought the money was going through her account, but all the e-mails she was given were fraudulent from Paypal and she has never received the money for the ring.
