Fox Den women to share life in column
Who better than Emma Bea Stallings, proud to be labeled “the woman with the foxes under her deck,” to be point woman on happenings with Fox Den Womens Club each month?
Willing to share club happenings in a monthly column with farragutpress readers, “The ladies are excited, and I hope you readership will enjoy it,” said Stallings, club president.
About educator and author Skip Overstreet, the club’s November speaker, Stallings said, “He entertained the club with funny and emotional stories” from his book “They Call Me ‘Mr. O.’”
The Club meets the first Thursday of each month, September through May, at Fox Den Country Club or in homes of members.
“Programs are fun, informative and entertaining, and the food is delicious, whether it’s brought by member food hostesses or lunch at the club,” she said.
Members gather for “nibbling and chatting” at 10:30 a.m. Meetings begin at 11 a.m.
“All women in Fox Den of all ages are welcomed,” Stallings said. “Proceeds from our dues and Silent Auction, which is held annually in May, are distributed to charity.”
The Dec. 6 meeting will be what Stallings calls “Secret/Funny Snitch Someone Else’s Gift Exchange.”
