• Jeff Chapman, director of McClung Museum of Natural History and Culture on the University of Tennessee-Knoxville’s campus, will retire at the end of the 2019 spring semester after serving 29 years as the museum’s director. Chapman has been honored with the 2018 Chancellor’s Extraordinary Service to the University Award and has overseen much of the museum’s growth.
• Emmy Award-winning journalist Erin Donovan has joined Moxley Carmichael as its digital storyteller, bringing expertise in video, photography and multimedia and passion for promotion and client service. Donovan spent eight years with WBIR-TV Channel 10 and five years at Visit Knoxville.
• PYA, a national professional services firm, celebrates its 35th anniversary. Led by CEO Ed Pershing, PYA has offices in Knoxville, Nashville, Atlanta, Tampa and Kansas City, Kansas.
• Cory Alexander has joined HomeTrust Bank as an assistant vice president, branch manager and business banking officer at the bank’s Knoxville office, 6501 Kingston Pike. He is responsible for business development for Bearden and the surrounding area. He also is branch manager for Bearden Banking Center.
• Tennessee Bar Association has selected its attorney participants in the Leadership Law program, a leadership training fellowship. The class will meet for its first session in January and then spend six months learning about leadership in the legal profession, court issues, state government policymaking and community service.
