Tradition of donations continues at Markman’s
A tradition of giving back to the community continues in 2019 at Markman’s Diamonds and Fine Jewelry, with a $2,000 donation to Survivor Fitness Foundation.
Steve Markman, president of Markman’s, presented the check to the organization’s co-founder and executive director, Meg Grunke, at Markman’s flagship location, 6932 Kingston Pike, Tuesday, Jan. 8.
“We are extremely happy to make a donation to such a deserving organization like Survivor Fitness Foundation,” Steve Markman said. “Markman’s has had a long tradition of giving back to the community, and we wanted our fundraiser events to be a continuation of that spirit of charity.”
The donation was a result of two recent fundraisers held at Markman’s flagship location, stated a press release from Markman’s.
Roberto Coin Fundraiser was held Thursday, Nov. 29, and Friday, Nov. 30.
DA Gold Fundraiser was held Friday, Dec. 7, and Saturday, Dec. 8.
At each fundraiser, Markman’s offered a special selection of jewelry from both designers, the release stated, adding a portion of the proceeds was then donated to Survivor Fitness Foundation, a a non-profit organization focused on helping cancer survivors in the Knoxville and Nashville areas regain health and wellness through one-on-one personal training.
