Half-century of service at NY Life for Farragut’s Moss

February marks the 50th anniversary of insurance agent Michael “Mickey” Moss, a Farragut resident, applying his craft at New York Life Insurance Company’s office in Franklin Square.

His career began in 1969 when relocating to Knox County from Alabama. Moss was raised on a rural Alabama chicken farm, where he acquired a strong work ethic that would serve him well. Hard work and determination were the foundations of his New York Life book of business.

That book has spanned five decades and covered multiple generations within families with insurance protection and investment products.

Moss will be presented a Lifetime Achievement Award during an upcoming reception held in his honor, by Mark Brien, New York Life senior vice president of agency, from the home office.

Joined by his wife of 46 years, Rhonda Moss, the couple is deeply imbedded in their community through involvement with youth sports and the local food pantry.
