• At 9:32 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 13, a Maiden Choice Lane resident reported an identity theft on behalf of her husband to Knox County Sheriff’s Office. The wife, who has power of attorney on behalf of her husband, said someone had opened an account at Verizon using the husband’s information. She was alerted to this when she received a letter from a collection agency trying to collect more than $5,000. An unknown suspect had used the couple’s former address in Farragut Hills. The couple has not lived in Farragut Hills since August 2015.

• At 3:30 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 10, a Mountain View Road complainant called KCSO Teleserve Unit to report an incident at his residence. Complainant said an unknown suspect used an object to break the window on his garage/outbuilding to gain access to the inside of his garage, where unknown suspect stole a Makita hammer drill with an estimated value listed at $250. Estimated dollar damage to window was listed at $150. He also said unknown suspect left a screwdriver and a metal bar outside of his outbuilding. Complainant advised he believes the unknown suspect used the screwdriver and the metal bar to break the window. Another officer was dispatched to the residence to retrieve the metal bar and screwdriver.

• At 1:51 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 7, a complainant called KCSO West Precinct to report an incident at Center for Family Psychiatry, 10241 Kingston Pike. She said the suspect advised his employer was paying for his treatment there. The bank returned a check suspect presented and advised it was written on an account that is closed. Complainant called a number associated with the business and was advised that company has been closed for five years.

• At 9:38 a.m., Feb. 7, a KCSO detective responded to a burglary at a Lake Haven Road residence. Upon arrival, complainant said he was last at the residence at around 6 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 5. Complainant said when he returned at 9:38 a.m., he noticed his front door had been kicked in and his collection of RCA records and cassettes — along with miscellaneous necklaces, earrings and pendants — were missing. Estimated value of RCA items was listed at $450. No value loss was listed for jewelry. Estimated dollar value of damage was listed at $500. X-Ray responded and processed the scene.

• At 3:06 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 2, a Champions Point complainant called KCSO to report an incident at their residence. Complainant advised the license plate on her husband’s 2003 Infiniti G35 was last seen on the vehicle at 5 p.m., Friday, Feb. 1, before they went back outside around 2:30 p.m., and saw it was stolen. Value of plate was listed at $65. Complainant advised they are unsure of a suspect.

• At 1:53 p.m., Feb. 4, a complainant called KCSO North Precinct to report an incident at a Barnsley Road construction site. Complainant said between 6 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 31, and 8 a.m., Friday, Feb. 1, person(s) unknown stole a bucket for a Caterpillar Skid Steer, with a value listed at $1,568, and 48-inch forks for the Skid Steer, with an value listed at $825.

• At 3:06 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 2, a Champions Point complainant called KCSO to report an incident at their residence. Complainant advised the license plate on her husband’s 2003 Infiniti G35 was last seen on the vehicle at 5 p.m., Friday, Feb. 1, before they went back outside around 2:30 p.m. the next day and saw it was stolen. Value of plate was listed at $65. Complainant advised they are unsure of a suspect.

• At 9:44 p.m., Friday, Feb. 1, a KCSO unit responded to Kohl’s department store, 11530 Kingston Pike, in reference to an attempted theft. Upon arrival, officer made contact with Loss Prevention official, who said an unknown white male suspect entered the store with another unknown male, walked around for a few minutes, then removed his coat and put on a Columbia jacket and hung his back on the rack of clothing. While the second male was paying for his items with a credit card, the suspect tore the tags off the Columbia jacket and walked out of the store. Loss Prevention official stopped the suspect outside the store and the suspect took the jacket, with a retail value listed at $150, off and gave it back to him. Second unknown male got in a silver Honda Pilot and began to drive away. After this happened, the suspect took off running for the vehicle. Loss Prevention official has video footage of the theft and photos of the vehicle and license plate. According to Loss Prevention official, this was the second such incident involving the same suspect and vehicle.
