• Speeding is a big problem in Farragut, and especially on Grigsby Chapel Road. Cars go way over the speed limit. It’s worse at the sections where there are no calming islands. It’s just terrible through there. We would be willing to pay a property tax to fund a Farragut Police Department to stop the speeding. I’d love to take advantage of the beautiful surroundings for outdoor activities. There are nice sidewalks around Town. But I don’t feel safe using them. There’s only one crosswalk on Grigsby Chapel, and even though it’s the law to stop for pedestrians at a crosswalk, most cars don’t. This community would be a much better place without the speeders.

• Farragut High School needs a change in leadership. AP scores from last year have decreased, dual enrollment programs are being cut, PTE programs have been cut, Byington-Solway Program has been cut, Driver’s Education has been cut in half. There needs to be new leadership; they are losing the best teachers to other schools and the best staff to other schools. There needs to be a change.
