Higgins adds golf to his FHS coaching duties
While Jon Higgins’ talent and knowledge of basketball found a bright spotlight as a standout Tennessee Volunteers guard in the early 2000s, the boys varsity basketball head coach at Farragut High School is adding to his coaching responsibilities thanks to also having knowledge of golf.
Having just completed his second season at FHS, Higgins was hired last week to fill the school’s golf head coaching position (boys and girls).
“(Principal Ryan) Siebe and I are both excited about adding coach Higgins as head golf coach here at Farragut High School,” said Donald Dodgen, FHS athletic director.
“With all his experience in athletics, both in basketball and in golf, it will help us continue the winning tradition here at Farragut High School in the golf program,” Dodgen added.
