Massey awarded
For work on behalf of women, children

State Sen. Becky Massey (R-District 6, which includes much of Concord) was presented the 2019 Advocacy Award by representatives from Advocates for Women’s And Kid’s Equality Wednesday, May 8.
The award was earned based on Massey’s “outstanding legislative work on behalf of women and children in Tennessee,” a press release stated. “Massey has sponsored and supported numerous bills strengthening Tennessee’s domestic violence laws, as well as legislation increasing penalties for child abuse, child sexual abuse and human trafficking.”
“This award is very special to me,” Massey said. “I am humbled to receive the recognition and look forward to continuing to work with those on the front lines of protecting the health and
safety of women and children in Tennessee.”
