• On Friday, May 17, a Knox County Sheriff’s Office unit responded to 11220 Outlet Drive (Cotton Eyed Joe) in reference to a strong-arm robbery. Officer made contact with complainant/victim, who said he and his friend were too impaired to drive home, so they slept in their vehicle. Complainant said he woke up as a light-skinned African-American male reached into his back pocket in an attempt to steal his wallet. Complainant advised he swung and hit the unknown male in the face. Upon striking him, the unknown male reached down between complainant’s legs, took his car keys then fled the scene in a dark red Honda Civic. Complainant said he also is missing his smartphone and about $30 in cash. The friend said she had her license and approximately $20 in cash inside her bra, but those items were missing once she woke.
• At 9 a.m., May 14, a Dixon Road victim called KCSO to report an incident at her residence. Victim said between 8 a.m., Sunday, May 12, and 8 a.m., May 14, a unknown subject removed the screws from his license plate from his 2018 Ford F-150 pick-up truck and stole it. Value of plate was listed at $65.
• At 4:15 p.m., Tuesday, May 14, a Taurus Lane complainant called KCSO Teleserve to report an incident at her previous Heathland Drive address. Complainant advised she had last seen her Smith & Wesson gun around March 1 and discovered its box was empty May 14. Value of gun was listed at $500. She said they have moved residences since it was last seen and advised multiple people could have had access to it. Complainant was advised to call back if serial numbers were located.
