A juvenile was placed into custody by Knox County Sheriff’s Office last week following a house fire in Kingsgate subdivision. Rural/Metro crews responded to 11711 Midhurst Drive at 9:52 p.m., Wednesday, May 15, and found “light to moderate smoke” coming from the house, with all occupants safely outside the dwelling according to a news release. The fire was contained to a front bedroom, but residents did loose a cat to the fire. No other injuries were reported. The exact cause of the fire is under investigation. Though this juvenile is presumed innocent under proven guilty in a court of law, are you concerned about being the victim of a crime within the Town of Farragut?
Aside from any possible crimes, are you happy with your fire protection contract? Should the Town of Farragut create a fire department? Call us and express your opinion on this or any other issue at 671-TALK (8255).
