• Whitney Mitchell, general manager of Pipe Wrench Plumbing, Heating & Cooling, recently was honored in the national magazine, Water & Wastes Digest, as one of the top 10 young professionals in the United States under 40 in the water and wastewater industry. This competition highlights the next generation of leaders and innovators who have demonstrated exemplary performance in a water- or wastewater-related field.
• Knox County Health Department and East Tennessee Roundtable have recognized Cannon and Cannon Inc, DWK Life Sciences, EXEDY America Corporation, Pilot Flying J and Radio Systems Corporation as employers receiving gold status for exemplifying excellence in worksite wellness. An annual recognition, gold status acknowledges employees who demonstrate a supportive wellness infrastructure and meet criteria related to disease monitoring and prevention.
• Tyke Kilmer, a retired U.S. Army veteran, has purchased the Tradebank franchise for the Mabry Hood Road location from Marc Davis, who started the business in 1996 and since grew Tradebank to 520 business owners who are members. After 20 years in the Army, Kilmer returned home in January and joined Tradebank.
