FHS golfers second, third in TN Boys Junior Amateur
CLEVELAND — A pair of Farragut High School golfers, Steven Haremski and Lance Simpson, were painfully close to winning the 56th Annual Tennessee Boys Junior Amateur at Cleveland Country Club last week.
Haremski (FHS Class of 2019) finished one shot behind champion Jaron Leasure (8-under-par 208) in the three-day, 54-hole event while recording the low score, a 5-under-par 67, during the final round Friday, June 28.
The Middle Tennessee State University signee’s 7-under 209 was followed by Simpson, a rising junior at Farragut who finished third at 6-under 210.
