Farragut Town recorder/treasurer Allison Myers has earned the Tennessee Association of Municipal Clerks “Clerk of the Year” award, as presented last week during the organization’s fall conference in Murfreesboro.
Trevor Hobbs, assistant to Town administrator David Smoak, nominated Myers at the request of Mayor Ron Williams.
Unaware she had won an award upon arrival at the presentation, Myers was accompanied by Smoak, Hobbs and Williams. She has worked for the Town of Farragut since 2001. Myers joined TAMCAR in 2002.
She has been instrumental in the Town receiving the Government Finance Officers Association Award for Excellence in Financial Reporting for 27 consecutive years and has received the GFOA Distinguished Budget Presentation Award four years in a row.
