KCSO police reports
• At 6:40 p.m., Monday, Oct. 7, a complainant called Knox County Sheriff’s Office Teleserve Unit on report of vandalism to his property along Concord Road. Plywood was damaged and a “No Trespassing” sign was taken down. Total value of loss was listed at $150.
• At 4:55 p.m., Oct. 7, a KCSO unit responded to a Parkside Drive address in reference to a hit-and-run. Victim said someone struck his 2012 Infiniti G37 and left. Victim told about someone leaving a note on his vehicle stating they had witnessed the incident and taken a photo of the suspect vehicle, a black 2006 GMC Canyon. Witness said a female was driving the pick-up truck.
• At 9:30 a.m., Oct. 7, a complainant called KCSO Teleserve Unit to report vandalism to a boat along Lanesbourough Way. Complainant said the boat was scratched with a razor blade, had wires cut and seats ripped. He advised the boat was parked in the backyard of his stepfather’s residence. Total value of loss was listed at $14,000.
• At 12:20 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 6, a victim called KCSO to report a vehicular burglary to her 2013 Hyundai Electra at 11220 Outlet Drive. Victim said sometime between 10 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 5, and 2 a.m., Oct. 6, person(s) unknown entered her vehicle and stole an unloaded Taurus G2C handgun from the center console while she was inside Cotton Eyed Joe. Value of gun was listed at $250. Victim advised she left the windows cracked because she brought her dog along. She said there was no damage to the vehicle.
• At 3:03 a.m., Friday, Oct. 4, a KCSO unit (two officers) responded to a domestic assault call along Autumn Leaves Lane. One officer reported making contact with suspect/arrestee, who said he and his father had been in an argument earlier that evening about something being taken out of his room. Arrestee said his father grabbed him by the neck and placed him in a headlock. Arrestee said he then pushed his father away and placed him in a headlock out of self-defense before the two separated. Arrestee admitted to having consumed alcohol before the incident. Victim said arrestee had been drinking alcohol and had become angry due to an item being taken from his room. Victim said arrestee entered his bedroom and started damaging items, including a television, which shattered the screen, and a hole in the drywall. No dollar value of damage was listed. Victim said he was in fear of further bodily injury from assault. Arrestee was charged with simple assault and transported to Knox County Jail.
