Schoonmaker to represent ET on TN Co. Services Board

For the first time in 20 years, a Knox County Commissioner has been elected to serve on the Tennessee County Services Association Board of Directors.

John Schoonmaker, 5th District County Commissioner, whose district includes Town of Farragut and Concord, will represent Tennessee County Commissioners Association, comprised of 33 counties in East Tennessee.

“It is an honor and a privilege to represent the citizens of southwest Knox County and to serve on the TCSA Board of Directors, which represents 510 County Commissioners from 33 counties in East Tennessee,” Schoonmaker said.

“TCSA works to improve the operation of Tennessee county government, to secure and preserve state funds for counties and to provide information to county officials about legislative bills impacting county government,” a TCSA press release stated.

“TCSA is an umbrella organization of TCCA and two other affiliates” representing “more than 1,800 elected and appointed officials and serves as the representative of county government,” the release also stated.
