• Mr. Farragut: “take down that wall.” Many folks are talking about what to do with the Campbell Station Road wall. My thought is to remove it altogether. Plant shrubs like the ones on Grigsby Chapel Road. Run irrigation for the summer, and in back of the plantings have a catch for water runoff from the hill and make it flow to the street at each end of the property.

The Farragut Public Works Department does a great job of keeping Grigsby Chapel Road landscaping looking excellent. And the landscaping can be decorated in the Christmas holidays.

(Editor’s note: the wall actually is a retaining wall that helps to stabilize the hillside and prevent earth and rock debris from raining down on North Campbell Station Road and the sidewalk).
