Despite Wrapp, Admirals seek to rebound
KNOXVILLE — Despite a career scoring performance by senior guard Jack Wrapp, tallying 19 points that included three 3-point baskets, his Farragut Admirals fell at Knoxville West, which gained a measure of revenge on Jon Higgins’ team after losing at FHS by 15 points Dec. 3.
Despite Wrapp and a team-leading 21-point effort from Farragut senior guard Robby Geron, West beat the Ads soundly, 76-62, Friday night, Jan. 24, at KWHS.
The Runnin’ Rebels, improving to 7-12 overall and 5-4 in District 4-AAA after the win, steadily pulled away from Farragut (11-12, 4-5).
Leading 19-16 after one quarter, West held a 32-28 edge at halftime and 54-48 after three frames.
Playing at William Blount Tuesday, Jan. 28 (after deadline), Farragut hosts rival and 4-AAA power Bearden Friday night, Jan. 31.
