KCSO police reports
• At 10:31 a.m., Sunday, April 5, a Knox County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a Quail Road residence to investigate a letter left at the doorstep of the victim’s home. The victim said the suspect rang his doorbell earlier that day and left an envelope at his front door porch. The victim also said he was a friend of this person years ago at his place of work. Victim also said the suspect said he was there to deliver the letter and to let him know he was a “piece of s--.” Details of the incident the victim was involved in were in the letter. He also said the suspect said he would not see him again and to “f--- you” as he left. The victim also said the suspect walked down the street and disappeared out of sight and made no threats. A Crime Scene officer responded to collect the letter for further processing and photographs. This report was generated for documentation purposes per the victim’s request. Officer took photographs of one envelope and its contents. At the forensic lab, officer said he processed the envelope and its contents for the presence of latent prints.
• At 4:36 p.m., Tuesday, March 31, a KCSO deputy was dispatched along with AMR to a Smith Road residence. Complainant advised she noticed her husband (victim) having difficulty breathing. AMR was provided a DNR upon arrival and pronounced the victim deceased shortly after. Complainant said her husband was in poor health and suffered from several heart and lung ailments. She further said the victim had last seen his primary physician March 27, 2019, and was prescribed multiple medications. A Major Crimes detective was notified of the incident, and the medical examiner processed the scene.
• At 9:51 a.m., March 31, a complainant called KCSO Teleserve Unit to report a burglary to his vehicle at a Saint Charles Lane residence. Complainant said he discovered his Lexus RS had been broken into at 11:44 p.m., Monday, March 30, but advised no items were stolen. Complainant also advised he walked out while the burglary was occurring and advised there were three suspects rummaging through the car. He advised he caught it on camera.
