clarification
Michael Bellamy issued the following clarification to an April 9 farragutpress story (page 1A):
“I just wanted to respectfully clarify one important point. I didn’t submit my petition to run (for Farragut North Ward alderman) against (Vice Mayor) Louise Povlin. I pulled a petition after Mrs. Povlin announced she wasn’t running for re-election.
“I also returned a completed petition to the Election (Commission) on March 13. Mrs. Povlin gave me notice of her intention to run on March 19.”
