No COVID-19 hospitalization increase for April 16 in Knox
As of 11 a.m. today, Thursday, April 16, Knox County Health Department had documented 186 COVID-19 cases in the county, from which 144 have recovered (77.42 percent).
There are 38 active cases (20.43 percent), with those hospitalized (at one time or another, not all currently hospitalized) remaining at 21 (11.29 percent).
Four have died (2.15 percent).
Schools closed for rest of 2019-20
Following Gov. Bill Lee’s “recommendation” Wednesday afternoon, April 15, that all schools in Tennessee remain closed through the remainder of the current school year, Knox County Schools has followed suit, the KCS website stated.
