Concord-Farragut GOP meeting cancelled May 7; Knox GOP Lincoln Day Dinner May 22

Due to the restrictions of COVID-19 on the size of meeting attendance, etc., Concord Farragut Republican Club will not meet on its regular meeting date of the first Thursday of each month, May 7.

"We will look forward to our meeting June 4," a CFRC press release stated. "This meeting will be exciting to catch up on almost three months of political activity and to catch up on and our 'cake auction,' which might see professional services, pies, cakes or political candidates singing and bids taken for them to quit singing.

"Having company that coming weekend, you can buy delicious pies or cakes right there and have that shopping done," the press release further stated.

Meanwhile, Knox County Republican Party Lincoln Day Dinner is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m., Friday, May 22, in Rothchild Catering Grand Ballroom, 8807 Kingston Pike.

Doors open at 5:30, dinner is 6:30 and program begins at 7:30 p.m.

Keynote speaker is U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Florida).
