Second Saturday Concert at the Cove
Hundreds flocked to The Cove at Concord Park to enjoy the sun, recreation on and near Fort Loudoun Lake and the free Second Saturday Concert at The Cove, 11808 S. Northshore Drive, featuring the RockinFellerz of Knoxville.
Balloons decorated areas where families and friends celebrated birthdays, such as that of Dave Clark, who turned 70.
He had special cause to celebrate: “When I was 50, I almost died,” Clark said.
This was the first of a three-part concert series. It will continue from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 8, featuring Left Food Dave and the Magic Hats, and then from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 12, featuring Kudzu.
The series initially was supposed to start in June and end in August, but was postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic, and was extended into September according to the Knox County Parks and Rec website.
