• Holly Messer recently joined Weichert, Realtors-Advantage Plus of Knoxville, serving Farragut and surrounding areas. She will assist home buyers and sellers with their real estate needs.
• Krista Bean and Andy Naler recently joined Merit Construction Inc. of Knoxville as accounting manager and project manager respectively. Melanie Harris, who has been with Merit for 16 years, was promoted to human resources coordinator.
Bean has more than 15 years in accounting, purchasing and administration while Naler is an Auburn University civil engineering graduate who received an MBA from the University of Tennessee.
• East Tennessee Children’s Hospital recently announced the addition of four new members to its board of directors, each of whom will serve a three-year term. The new members are: Bob Baskerville, executive vice president with Creative & Production Services at Discovery Inc.; Bryan Daniels, president/CEO at Blount Partnership; Victoria Niederhauser, Dr.PH, RN, PPCNP-BC, FAAN, dean, professor and chief academic officer at the University of Tennessee College of Nursing; and Nikitia Thompson, owner and real estate broker at Realty Executives Associates-Nikitia Thompson Realty.
• Knoxville attorney Glen A. Kyle recently successfully completed certification in the area of elder law by the National Elder Law Foundation, the only organization approved by the American Bar Association to offer the certification. Kyle is one of only 14 attorneys certified in elder law in Tennessee.
• The Christman Company, with a regional office in Knoxville, has advanced to No. 88 on Engineering News-Record’s 2020 “ENR 400” ranking of the top 40 contractors nationally based on 2019 construction revenue. Projects include Tennessee Technological University’s science lab in Cookeville, $80 million; Tennessee State Veterans’ Home in Athens, $39 million; the University of Tennessee’s Neyland Stadium improvements, $131.7 million; and Energy and Enviromental Science Research Building in Knoxville, $78 million.
