• At 7:22 a.m., Friday, July 10, a complainant called Knox County Sheriff’s Office Teleserve Unit to report his 2017 Honda Civic stolen from the Comfort Inn at 811 N. Campbell Station Road. Complainant advised he last physically saw his vehicle at 10 p.m., Thursday, July 9, and discovered it stolen at 6:45 a.m. the next morning. Estimated value of the vehicle, as listed on the report, was $20,000. Complainant advised he received texts about fraudulent charges on his debit card and advised he went outside and discovered his car had been stolen. Complainant advised the keys had been left in the vehicle and doors left unlocked when an unknown suspect entered the vehicle and took it without permission. Complainant advised one of his bags had been thrown out of the vehicle and requested forensics to come out.
• At 2:47 p.m., July 10, officers responded to an Evans Road residence in reference to a vehicle attempted to be stolen. Upon officers’ arrival, complainant/victim/property owner stated someone was observed underneath his 2006 Ford Excursion. Complainant ran outside and saw a white male with long hair and possibly a gray or blue ball cap run towards a vehicle parked next door. Victim said the suspect got in a black Acura sedan bearing a Tennessee tag and fled the scene. Upon checking the vehicle, victim stated he noticed the catalytic converter was cut and damaged. He estimates the damage to be about $500.
• At 2:44 p.m., July 10, a complainant called KCSO Teleserve Unit to report her identity stolen from a Midhurst Drive residence. Complainant advised she discovered a bill collection on her credit score at 5 p.m., Saturday, July 11. Complainant advised the bill was for Lenoir City Utilities Board in 2016. Complainant advised when she contacted LCUB she was informed her Social Security number and name was used by the suspect. Complainant advised the suspect did not have permission to use her identity.
• At 4:34 p.m., Monday, June 29, a complainant contacted KCSO Teleserve Unit to report her 2001 Honda Accord vandalized at 11220 Outlet Drive. Complainant said she believed the damage to have been done to the vehicle while it was parked at Cotton Eyed Joe between 10:10 p.m., Sunday, June 28, and 1:45 a.m., the next day, although it was not discovered until 4 p.m., June 29. Complainant said she would not be able to give an estimation on the damages but was advised to call back once she obtained one.
