Farragut Primary School’s kindergartners, holding their parents’ hands, arrived early for their first day of school Tuesday, Aug. 25.
“We saw all of our kindergarteners last week for their first staggered day,” said principal Gina Byrd, who was stationed at the main entrance to greet the youngsters and their parents. “It was great to meet our new families and see our returning families to FPS.
“We have 203 in-person kindergarten students and 79 virtual kindergarten students,” she added. “All kindergarteners will start full days on Tuesday, Sept. 8. We are looking forward to a great year with the Class of 2033.”
While many walked, others used vehicles to arrive at school.
