Union Road closed ‘about 60 days;’ McFee section has closures, delays
A pair of projects on busy roads within Town of Farragut will alter traffic from as little as one to two weeks up to a projected maximum of 60 days. Details are below:
• Union Road will be closed to thru traffic for construction of a traffic roundabout. The closure was tentatively scheduled to start Wednesday, Sept. 30, and last for about 60 days.
The road will be closed at the intersection of the new Ivey Farms Boulevard — detour signage and closure barricades will be in place for motorists.
• A 1,200-foot section of McFee Road from Bridgemore Boulevard east will be repaired and resurfaced beginning this week; the start date will be determined by weather. The work will take one to two weeks. Expect closures/delays. Detour signs and flaggers will alter traffic flow.
