• William David Robinson, D.O., has joined Summit Medical Group as an internist at Medical Associates, 9333 Parkwest Blvd., and currently is accepting new patients. Robinson received his undergraduate degree in biochemistry from University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in 2009 and graduated from Lincoln Memorial University’s DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate with a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in 2015. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
• Pilot Company and the Haslam family recently donated $5 million to East Tennessee Children’s Hospital to renovate the emergency department at the hospital’s main campus on Clinch Avenue in downtown Knoxville. The facility will be named Pilot Emergency Care Center in honor of past, present and future Pilot Company team members and their families.
• TwelveStone Health Partners, a comprehensive chronic care medication services provider, welcomed the Knoxville business and healthcare community to its new “spa-like” infusion center at 8880 Cedar Springs Lane in Cedar Bluff for an open house Oct. 20. “We are excited to expand our footprint in Knoxville as this infusion center joins our existing infusion centers in Murfreesboro, Chattanooga and Mount Juliet,” said Shane Reeves, chief executive officer of TwelveStone. “The TwelveStone Center makes infusion treatment less stressful and easier to access for those in the Knoxville area.”
