Farragut business owners said they are hopeful for a promising holiday season after experiencing a good start at Shop Small Saturday, Nov. 28.
Initiated by American Express, Shop Small Saturday is a holiday set aside for the Saturday right after Thanksgiving.
“People know it’s Small Business Saturday — they usually will tell us that — so they pay attention,” said April Moss, Linda’s Hallmark store manager.
“By taking advantage of the Shop Small brand, I believe it allows ‘Mom and Pop’ companies to demonstrate their relationship to the community,” said Steve Krempasky, executive director of Shop Farragut/ Farragut Business Alliance.
